The thread by wowbagger made me think of the last few kangaroo seamless coin purses I have around from my time romping around Oz in the late eighties. Wondering if anyone (most likely Aussies) have ever made a pocket sheath out of a roo sac?
I grabbed a little RR Dog Bone (no pun intended), and slid it into a coin purse. Take away the snap, and maybe add a couple tack stitches on either side in the middle to keep the folder vertical, and I think you'd have a great little "profile breaking" pocket sleeve. Wish I had more of them, I only brought home a dozen or so, but most were given as gifts in '89.
Most of the tanned roo that I've handled felt kind of like a heavier duty deerskin. Just wondering. Got my head turning now and wanting to bring in some roo to experiment with.
Here's the only three I have left. Two were already made into coin purses, the other I had envisioned using as shift stick cover, bet never got around to it.
