Well, Im not a rookie but I did make a dumb mistake yesterday. 
How many times after being bitten by one of your blades do you say "msn, that was dumb. lol. Yep I did.
A brand new Mora will do A NUMBER ON EXPOSED FLESH lol. So I have a nice cut on my left index finger that doesn't hurt, but is bleeding like mad.
But it sure proves the point that in the field a small cut could really be bad. Not only for infection, but it would sure be hard to make fire, shelter and gather food! (note Les Stroud and Ray Mears vs Bear Grylls style).
Anyway, pleas excuse my gimpy paw typing I still have my huge "sleeping dressing" on my stub.
