This was an order from a customer that wanted a rough/wild/primitive style knife.

The knife is already safe in Canada with it's new owner!

Specs:
Cable damascus (1085)
4.5" blade, 8.5" overall lenght. Handle was made from a boat rope soaked in epoxy resin, with a copper guard.
Handstitched (copper strings) cow leather sheath.

Thank you for looking :)

such unity between the handle and the blade is stunning. I've seen a lot of beautiful pieces on this forum but that one must be one of the most well-thougt.

Congratulation.

By the way, just a question: is that hard to make such a handle?

Ariel: WOW another beutiful creation. It is a happy day when a new knife is born into the world. Keep those pictures coming. JIM :)

Thank you :)

That kind of handle is not that hard to make, takes time to practise though.

Larry, please go ahead! Nestor showed me your knife and it's really nice :)

Unsolicited endorsement. I'm the lucky Canadian caring for this creation. Ariel is a master fabricator with an artists soul. There are very few people out there who can make your wildest dreams become reality. Fewer so who are as nice to deal with. Ariel, it was a real pleasure.

Larry, it weighs in at 230g and balances right on the choil. The ergos of the rope handle are terrific.

Burnsy, I'm very envious. In fact, if you could send it over right away it'd be much appreciated. At least Ariel found the right country, but he got the wrong address. Sorry about the inconvenience.

Honestly, though, that is a fantastic blade, and when I start getting into buying, and later, perhaps making, custom knives, that type is gonna be right up there. Bravo, Ariel.
