Rope Dart?

Hey guys,

I am not real 'throwing knife' savvy, but how does a 'rope dart' work?

It seems like a knife would not throw very well with cord attached to it...

they work very well. check out some youtube vids. I've made a few simple ones out of junk I found in the machine shop. but you don't throw them like a knife. you spin them on the end of the rope then release it, causing it to fly at the target.

learning how to "shoot" it at a target is actually quite easy, all the acrobatic kung fu stuff like shooting it off your foot is a bit harder...and probably pretty dangerous. even a light dart can get some pretty good penetration just because of how fast you can get it going.

the funny thing is I've never seen a youtube video of someone actually sticking it in a target, its all just people dancing around with them lol.
