Good morning everyone :D

My new left hand Rosewood GEC 73 arrived yesterday.

If the sun will work with me today I will get some in hand shots.

I love the Rosewood scales :thumbup:

Do any of you have any Rosewood or Cocobolo pics you might like to share?

(of any brand)

Thanks+++++++

I love cocobolo. I also really like Ironwood.

I have more but these are the only ones I have pics of at the moment

Here's a few handle jobs I've done in Cocobolo.
First is a Fallkniven F1.

No rosewood or cocobolo...how about a Lone Wolf Loveless City Knife in Snakewood and a Ka-Bar OHO89 in briar root?

I sent this 24" x 6" x 1" board of Rosewood to Chris at GEC. I also sent some other chunks. Knifeswapper's pic shows the grain nicely. Of course I believe the part of the slab farthest away from the camera is where they started cutting scales. Even if for some reason the scales came from another board I am still thrilled with mine. Hope for real sunlight tomorrow for pics.

By "sent" do you mean you "sold" it?
If not, will you sent some my way?

many german kitchen knifes were handled in rosewood until 1980. this wood was plain jane but almost impossible to leach all the oil from handles. i've never had a rosewood handle crack.

Here's a nice little B&T with Cocobolo. Made by Lamont Coombs.

I can't offhand think of any Rosewood knives in the collection, but here are a couple of examples of outstanding cocobolo wood:
