Just a few photos of what I've been up to lately.

Here's my latest in rosewood burl.

.45 ACP handload testing on a sand bag at 25 yards.

Although I didn't bring it on this trip, you can see that treated properly, the rosewood holds up nicely to weather.

That's one nice looking knife. Did you make the handles ?

Heck of a spot to camp too. Where is that ?

Thanks for the pics.

Yes, I made them. I used Honduran rosewood Burl with tung oil and military gun wax on top.

It's my "local" park....Yosemite!

Thanks for the comments

Excellent job on the handles. I've been messing around with a stick of teak I had, so I can really appreciate the work.

Nice "local" park (chuckle)

Those handles look fantastic!!!! :) Trip looks like it was fun as well! Thanks for sharing :D

Honduran rosewood burl is one of my favorite woods also. You should be aware, however, that it is on one of the appendices to CITES (not sure which one) and cannot leave the country, even as the handle on a finished knife.

Nice job on the handle - looks great!

William, I've gotten tremendous accuracy using Hodgdon's Universal Clays. You should check it out. (And no, I'm not about to post loading data on the Internet. But keep the loads a little on the light side and I think you'll be very happy.)

Very, very nice.

I have to say some of the craftsmanship shown on this forum is pretty impressive...

Man, those are beautiful scales. The 6 takes on an entirely new look with wood scales. Nicely done, brother. Nicely done indeed!
