There is nothing quite like summertime in the Pacific Northwest. Here are some pics from a camping trip my friends and I went on a couple of weeks ago at Ross Lake in Washington. We usually hike in but this year we took a boat so we could get a little closer to Desolation Peak for a good hike up it. It was still a little early for the water level, usually the water is up at the treeline that you see in the background of the first pic, but it's a good tradeoff since there are way fewer people on the lake. Sadly, I didn't get any in use pics of my Bushfinger but I'll put the pic up of it on my belt while we were filling water filters. My friend Andrew took the pictures.
Water time. You can barely see my Bushfinger:
Here's another gear pic of my GB SFA behind the fire. One good thing about the boat was we were able to bring a whole Copper River salmon in. Sadly, we were a week early for the start of fishing season on the lake so the trout lived to see another day.
