Does anyone have one of these They are take down single shot .22 rifles that come with an interchangable shotgun barrel...I've heard decent things about them...I handled a display model in a kmart and it felt pretty crappy like it was barely holding together...I wrote the gun off but since than continue to hear good things any experiences??

I've heard good things about them, Their kinda cheap, i've seen them for $150 cdn, so I cant really say to the quailty, if you dont think it felt right, dont go for it.

I bought one a couple of years back for my son (because it was CHEAP), thinking it would be a good option for his intro into shooting / hunting. As it turns out, he hasn't shown any interest at all, so it sits in my safe unfired and unused. I'm looking to get rid of it. It's a .22/20ga. combo.

The quality doesn't impress me too much but I may be a snob, and the 20gauge in such a small package kicks the snot out of you with all but the lightest loads. Chris

My brother purchased one in 223 last year. Before he shot it he was working the action (open and close) when the extractor locked forward and was bent as he closed the action. After about a 2 month wait they finally sent him a new one. At the range he realized his SKS shot better (maybe 2-3 MOA) and he had a good scope on the rossi. This may not be typical, but it's enough for me to pass on this one. Please let us know if you find anything different, thanks.

You get what you pay for. I just bought my 8 year old son a 22/410 for his first gun. I think it would make a great little survival firearm. Very compact. and pretty much no frills.

I have heard that they are alright for the money, but not to expect too much from them. I believe you can get the NEF's with more than one barrel. You might want to look into that.

I too bought a .22/20 ga for my son. He has shown minimal interest so far but we'll see. Anyway, fit and finish is about what you would expect with a firearm in this price range. However, it has stood up to everything my ten year old can throw at it. Also Rossi supposedly guarantees them forever. It will never be a Weatherby, but IMHO it is worth the price being paid.

I owned an NEF 20g as a youngster rugged functional little gun I was thinking about the .22/410 versa pack but they seem hard to find..I like the idea of having a .22 for plinking and a .410 for settling down @ night insides of15- 20 feet I think it is a devastating self defense round (probably beyond that as well but if you have to use potentially lethat force to defend yoursef at a range beyond that you're in a lot of trouble)
