Handled one of these in .22 and 20 ga seemed like a nice camp/ small game gun...are they decent? I'm not planning on shooting competition with it but using it for plinking and pot filling, Thanks

I have the same combo you mentioned and for what it is, it works great. I originally bought it for my son, but I shoot it more than he does. I had a little bit of a hard time getting the irons on the .22 barrel sighted in, but once they were on target, they have stayed there.

If you got the youth version like I did, the 20ga will hammer you pretty hard. These are pretty light guns. I don't consider myself recoil sensitive but it definitely kicks you. About the same as a heavy 3" turkey load out of a standard, full sized 12ga. pump.

I like to use this firearm as a teaching firearm when I conduct Sportsmen Education classes. It is great in that role.

Finally, I feel this fits the great truck/BOB/woods gun. It does the job, but if it gets scratched, lost, stolen, etc. you won't be out a whole ton of money. One big disadvantage when comparing it to the similar H&Rs: Rossi does not support a barrel swap or extra barrel program. I have anecdotally heard of people swapping barrels from one Rossi to another without problems but I can't verify it and it is definitely NOT RECOMMENDED by the factory.

I have one and am planning on buying more, if I could just figure out which combo I want. Probably the best endorsement any product can get.

I've got the .22/.243/20g combo (youth).

Good for training the kids, but use light loads in the 20g or you'll put the kid off. Hunting, they won't notice, but targets with the 20, recoil is a problem, as Eyegor said.

The kids have taken deer, (scoped .243) rabbit and squirrel.

Cleans easy, too.
