Recently there was a thread where someone asked what stove was included in the Rotary International Shelterbox. Saturday I was at a Rotary function where one was on display, and it is indeed an Optimus 111C, albeit in a different box:

That was my inquiry. My thought was for its intended purpose, some amount of research had been put into finding a fairly simple, reliable cookstove. Thank you much for the pictures and the information.

I think thats a pretty awesome undertaking as well, providing equipment to survive following disaster to those in need. I'd be all about one of the big green bins being dropped in front of me if I had nothing else. (Of course, those of us that hang in this forum would likely have something, psk, go bag, bugout bag, knives, food, shelter.......... )
