I have two bucks knives, with a third one on the way. My first knife I carried for a year and half straight. My second buck knife I've been carrying since I got it in September. was thinking of rotating my two knives even before I bought the third knife. How do you guys rotate your e.d.c knives? I know there's no right answer to this question but was curious how you guys do it. I was thinking maybe using each monthly.

I just let a whim carry me away. I usually rotate through six models every couple of weeks, with the odd shelf queen thrown in for good measure. My most carried knives are on the belt.

I EDC at least 3 at a time so you should be good. Or you can just go crazy and do one a day rotating every day.

I open the lid on the cigar box that contains my EDC knives, look at them, and decide to grab one - it's that easy! OH

I have 4 knives that I rotate in. Two 112's and two 110's, a dress and a user for each. When deciding I'll give some thought toward the duties I'm faced with today. In the office or out in the field, traveling. Will I need more blade or just slicing an apple or sharpening a tooth pick. Who may I show my knife to today? Then I'll pick. DM

I have about three main blades I rotate between, and it is entirely random. Sometimes I'll go a week carrying one, and sometimes its only a day. Right now one is a Buck, but once I finish my pocket clip/thumbstud 110 I'll have another Buck to chose from as my main EDC. I also carry a slipjoint, and it does get rotated daily, right now I've been rotating between about seven, half of which are Bucks.

There are other knives for special occasions, and still others for camping and other rough use duties. I don't have any "safe queen" knives.

Ha Ha, good answers. I change around sometimes. Opposite like some single guys, I keep same women and change knives. Otherwise you can't afford the knives. I have out on a foam mouse pad a 55, TL-29, 309 Elk, 301 overseas and three Vantages, one big- two little. But, I have in my pocket today a 444 that I am having a affair with. It may join the pad crowd or not. Also have a long bladed fish knife of some make that I sometimes wear going fishing. Hunting knives are kept in a box in another spot.

I carry fish knife in belt sheath, the rest of the non-clipped in belt hanging pocket sheaths and slots sewn in pockets and the the Vantages usually clipped next to wallet in back pocket. I have several pairs of jeans where the Vantage clips are wearing a small hole in the back pocket. Hunting knives usually in belt sheaths.

Every so often, usually year or two in length, I almost completely change the foam pad crowd. Except for the elk 309.

300Bucks

I retired in February so I don't really EDC much any more. Before I retired I had three that I rotated, a Marksman, a paperstone Vantage and a rosewood Vantage. All three sat on my nightstand and i'd just grab the one that spoke to me that morning.

I have 3 small buck vantages small I EDC. A plain select I take to work everyday, avid in charcoal dymonwood that I take it when I head out for the day, and a pro in g10 that I take when the mood hits me.

I line them up on the dresser. I use the same ones for months, get a wild hair and change. It's an endless cycle. They are all Bucks and sharp, so it doesn't really matter.

Ps I also keep a Buck 301 charcoal and a Buck 110 Four Dot in the car (along with a couple of other brand traditional's). If I manage to make it out of the house without stopping by the cigar box, I can slip one of the backups in my pocket (doesn't apply to the 110) while riding down the road. I keep a few in the pickup too. OH

I live in a really hot place. During the Summer, I have to carry lightweight, so the Vantage Select is my edc most months. The 110 in a belt sheath prevents rust because I'm not sweating all over it in the pocket.

Winter when I can carry heavier the Marksman is my lady!

I have a container with my knives and select whatever is calling me for the day, I rotate prob through 5 knives a week.

I normally switched knives around every couple of weeks. It would be a mixture of older Bucks, newer Case, Queen, and some various German made knives. But since Christmas I've been carrying the 303 my wife bought me just to see what I think of it. I must say it has done everything I've needed. Its not my prettiest or even my favorite but it just works.

If I like a design I may buy a couple; special days will mean a special pocket knife. There are two designs I really like and one of each is usually with me. A third will be something to lend, or is special.

A 112FG is on my belt every day unless it's prohibited where I'm going to be, often the same one that was a special gift; that design is a great lockback. And a 2 1/2" blade slip joint with a cap lifter/screwdriver. Last, either a small multi tool, or a Buck 505, or a small friendly looking slip joint - such as my father's daily pocket knife, or the "Christmas" model trapper I carry in December. On weekends I may choose a pair of stag covered slip joints.
