Has anyone ever heard of a tool called a Router Recreater made by Sears. I think it is a Pantograph that uses a roto-tool. I was told that they work well to inlay shields in folder handles. Or does anyone have a good method for doing this, other than the old trace and dremel method.

Thanks in advance,

I see nobody has replied.
This tool is,indeed a pantograph with a rotary tool. You can build one or buy one. Some commercial models are very expensive.Unless you are doing a repetitive process of inlaying hundreds of shields, doing it by hand is more practical.

I hadn't thought about that thing in years. I have one stashed under a bench in the shop. I used to use it a lot when I was making custom pistol grips.
