I found an old style, knurled grip, Rotring 600 and ordered one. I have a few questions though. The one I ordered is ballpoint. Will rollerball refills fit in it? Any aftermarket refills available? What would you recommend?

I look forward to getting this pen. Especially since it is supposed to make a fine tactical instrument as well.

Mine came with a Parker refill in it. I really like writing with it as the knurled area really is easy to grasp and use.

These pens are real sleepers. I got a bunch off of EBAY at really competitive prices from sellers in West Germany and Austria.

All I can suggest, is don't look at the new Rotrings. After using the West German "old" style, I was really disappointed at the poor quality now that an American company has taken over :(

Pilot G2 refills fit the rollerball models. Parker ballpoint refills fit the ballpoint models. Parker also has a gel ink version now of their ballpoint that writes very smoothly.

I have a bunch of Rotrings-they are the only thing that I have not found a way to break!

I hope that you enjoy your pen as much as I enjoy mine.

Daniel :D

I´ve seen lots of Parker compatible ballpoint refills, the ones from Inoxcrom seem quite good, if you want to try a pressurized refill, the ones from Fisher space pen have an adapter to fit Parker.
