Well, one of my main carry knives is the neat small Spyderco Chaparral FRN version, clipped to the opening of my shirt makes it always at the ready, even when lying below my car today
Slide it out, sliced open some JB Weld to slice off a section to apply on my 2010 Sonata which is starting to rust out a little from these NY highways in winter
. BUT as I went to 'mix it up' the JB Weld as most might know is quite sticky and adheres to about everything, I had gloves on but it made my fingers clogged up with the material and closing the knife I realized I was applying JB Weld down into the nice textured scales
I tried to limit that and I was able to tear it apart tonight and cleaned it up pretty good but, it just goes to show that even while I use these knives for everything, I'm a bit of an OCD knuckle head when it comes to keeping them spick and span, go figure...But it made me realize that maybe I'll need a real down and dirty work knife that can take some JB Weld from time to time and I wouldn't get too upset, maybe.
Here's the little darling,

What do you guys and gals use for those times you don't care how it ends up looking ?
