This is a rough and ready, compact camp set for an avid hunter, to his "specs". The new owner's initials(RJM) are simply stamped into both the handle butt, and the rear side of the belt loop. The piece will see a lot of large and small game hunting in the US and Canada including an upcoming Texas boar hunt.

Rough Camp Set

Blade: 5 3/4" x 3/16(approx) 1084 with brute de forge flats and a Flitz-polished 600 grit hand sanded finish.

Handle: 4 3/4" of solid Moose antler with Rosewood spacer and butt, and one peened s.s pin. The etched and polished wrought iron guard was forged from an old anchor chain link.

Sheath: Fully lined, 6/7 oz premium leather case and harness with an etched wrought iron snap on the knife retention strap. The 1/4"dia. fire steel has a Moose antler and Rosewood handle, and the striker has a peened moose antler handle with "live-edge" butt end. The removable belt loop harness features three belt slots for multiple carry options, and is secured to the sheath with dual snaps "hidden" on the rear side.

Please give me your thoughts.

really like what I'm seeing come outta your shop, Peter:thumbup:

A slick and well thought out package. Shape and proportions are very attractive.

That is one nice package. He's gonna love it I'm sure. It might be called "rough and ready" but there is some fine work in this one. The carry system compliments it so well.

Very nice.. I like the style . Nice finish on the blade but still carries the rustic nature on the build process. A+
