I ordered two of these
One for my self
One for my 13 year old son
My idea was to use these as a practice knife to learn how to use a stone
I have applied a little leather dye to the scales to "age" them a little
Not a bad knife for 15 shipped
And I feel better about learning on this one

Good looking knife and Rough Riders make great "practice" knives. Beater kitchen knives are good for practice too.

Good luck in your endeavors. Hope you nail it!

yea...good looking knife! Let us know how the sharpening goes. I just received a RR Copperhead myself and its very nice, although the pulls are nail breakers.

Yea, the prices are hard to beat for the knife!

I ordered a RR canoe to take apart for a canoe pattern and when I got the knife I changed my mind.....I couldn't take this one apart......I'll have to get one I know I don't like the look of and take it apart.

For the money Rough Riders are great values they make excellent users, backups, and gifts. I like to use some of mine for practicing my freehand sharpening as well.
