rough rider knives?

Inexpensive knives made in China with really good fit and finish for the price. They make wonderful users.

A good knife for the money. The quality varies somewhat from knife to knife, but the good ones are as nice when it comes to fit and finish as some much more expensive knives.

The steel is not a high end steel by any means, but they yend to come really sharp and their blade profiles will sure cut.

I have found them to be ok for the money, like others have said good users, the blades are a little thinner and the liners on mine have turned dark with some kind of staining that hasent happened with my other knives, case, queen, buck, camillus, old timer, but for what you pay if you lose or break it you wont be too upset.I found that for me, I like carrying one of the name brand american made models but to each his own.

I love them, great value for the money, come sharp, cut well, sharpen easily. If it's that barlow you're looking at the turquoise is synthetic but the barlow has quite a thick master blade and is a tough knife. You can buy them on Ebay for $10. to $12.00 and less brand new in almost any handle material.

Regards

Robin

I own several and use them...the steel is likely 440A but it does sharpen easily and holds an edge moderately well. They are definitely worth the 10 to 15 bucks they cost. For someone who wants to try a pattern they are an inexpensive way to find out what you will like in a traditional.

I truly believe that a Rough Rider is the best slippie that $10 can buy.....

The Old Yellow Whittler I got hold of recently has surprised me, well exceeded my expectations and I'm carrying it a lot.

Great knives for the money. My favorites are from the sawcut and gunstock series. The yellow handled ones are also pretty nice. I have seen some weak springs, some nail breakers, and a few gaps, however, those were mostly on earlier knives. I haven't counted lately, but I am up to about 50 so far... Damn you eBay!

I agree. I have a tough time deciding between that one and my Case md. stockman 63032CV to ECD. So I do both:D
