I bought some Rough Rider knives for a Christmas present and while shopping I came across a Private Reserve Swayback under $50 so I bought it. Of course I had no idea last night I was going to luck into a new #47 GEC Viper but that's another story. It came today and this is a really well made knife I am happily surprised at the fit and finish it truly is a nice knife. It came wrapped in a microfiber cloth inside a metal tube similar to GEC's design. It is advertised as handmade and was built with very tight tolerances on the fit and finish. The covers are Blue Jean Micarta it sports an easy open notrch as well as a lanyard hole and nice inlaid shield. The specs say that the blade is stainless but the tang is marked D2. IMO this knife is well worth the price.1OXhV54[1].jpgwwCgxKO[1].jpgy7NSXQU[1].jpgxBmQ7Fp[1].jpg3Ab3RLi[1].jpgB2ZrshD[1].jpg

Looks very well-finished, nice looks to it, would prefer ones without the EO notch though.

Real D2 certainly spots & colours particularly from citrus fruits, other D2 might behave differently...

I tell you brother I was kindda shocked how nice it was when I got it I didn't expect it to be anywhere close to how nice it is. When yours comes in take some pictures and post your thoughts on yours here I'm interested I am probably going to buy some different patterns in their Private Reserve knives.I have one of their regular swaybacks and it's a tough little knife. I've used it as an EDC a bunch

Dang it, for some reason I had it in my head that I had ordered the RRR. It was the RR, in fact. But, I love it. Nice fit and finish with only one buffing booger, you can see it in the pics of the end of the knife. It was very sharp out of the box, no lateral wobble from the blade, the tip is nice and clean with even grinds on both sides. The denim “micarta” is nice and pretty dang uniform on both sides, comparatively speaking. Overall, it is an excellent purchase I think. I’m getting in on the RRR this next time. Maybe not the twin to this one, but I’ll have one of the models.
