Dear all,

Would anyone who has owned or owns the Rough Rider Whittlin Buddy (note: NOT the "whittler") please share their thoughts and pictures about the knife, especially its use for whittling? I've seen notices here and there on this forum, but nothing concentrated and with any real discussion and ample pictures. Is it comfortable to carve with? Do the blade shapes work well for whittling? Can you actually pocket this knife? Has the steel quality worked well for whittling? Or any other observations about the knife and your experiences (and pictures!) with it.

Thanks!

Bryson

Since I don't have one, this probably isn't much help.
I use a RR Congress and find the blade(s) length and variety a good fit for what I do.
If the Whittlin Buddy design fits your usage, like most RR knives, it would probably do a good job.
Besides, for the price it might be worth giving it a shot to find out.
You probably have access to this, but just in case here is a description, but without any bevel info.
Hope it might be of some help,
OG
