The Captain of Captain and Tennille fame and Super Dave Osbourne (Bob Einstein) both died this year.

Not exactly my childhood, but part of my relative youth.

I especially loved Super Dave as a hapless stuntman wearing a jumpsuit whose every stunt went terribly wrong.

He also was Funkhouser on Curb your Enthusiasm, although I've not seen that show. (He was also Albert Brooks' brother)
 
Super dave was pretty funny. I liked the satire, and how it was all very out in the open, wink and nod to the audience. Loved how his partner played Fuji, and of course growing up in Sask make the "genuine saskatchewan seal-skin bindings" extra funny.
 
Also Mean Gene Okerlund died. As Hulk Hogan might say "Let me tell you something Mean Gene, we're gonna miss you!"
