Round Bolster Large Stockman Knives

Maybe not always for looks, but for comfort in the pocket and the hand I prefer round bolsters. Since the stockman is my favorite, I decided to post my large (~ 4") stockmen with round bolsters.

The Case XX47 3 7/8" Round-Bolster Stockman is the most hand/pocket friendly for me.

Actually, a 3339 Sowbelly Stockman paired with a 3347 Stockman make a happy pair - comfortable in the hand and comfortable to carry in the pocket. Both at 3 7/8 "

Mike, I do like the long bolsters on the Canal Street. I have an early Fight'n Rooster with pearl handles and the long bolsters. I call it my Barlow Stockman.

Here is another 4 incher with roundish bolsters. To me they look like a cross between square and round, but it is one of my favorites.

I’ve only realized recently that I really like rounded bolsters on a traditional, and stockmans have always been my quiet favorite pattern. No doubt this knife played a big part in both!

GEC BF-24, Ka-Bar 1108, Western WD-237 - all 3-7/8” or longer. I agree with rounded bolsters being very pocket friendly.
