I'm considering a Sable IV. How do you like the round handles on a C.R. fixed blade?
Does the knife want to twist in the hand?
Thanks for any and all thoughts on C.R. fixed blades.

Gregory,

I have the Mountaineer 1 and really do enjoy it! The workmanship is excellent and the A-2 holds a good edge and sharpens easily...and I might add that it is easily sharpened to that "scary" sharpness!
The round handle has never presented any problems for me in use.
The only negative, in my view, is that the sheath does not securely hold the knife if you are very active. I bought a custom Kydex sheath from Scott Hendryx that fits the bill. One hell of a knife that begs to be used.

I have no experience with the Sable. I have used the project 1 and have found it a little uncomfortable when chopping, but my friend, the owner doesn't. However with the smaller blade of the sable, chopping wont be a primary concern. The one thing I can say is these knives are solid, nicely crafted, and a good buy. Later, Jeff
