Just wrapped up this mod, and it turned out better than I had expected.

1. Got user version on the exchange, immediately copt backspacers from Gnoleb, which helped tons w/ the balance and weight. 2. Was getting tired of the futuristic hard-line/angle aesthetic, and was itching to see what a more rounded, fluid-line version would feel and look like. 3. Did it - pretty quick w/ belt sander and dremel. Handles were already 'contoured' in an angular fashion, so I just rounded off the hard angles. Blade just needed a lil rounding at the spine to keep the flow. 4. Home stonewashed in the drier w/ Michaels river rock medium, 40 min.

Thanks for the kind words everyone! I was pretty scared to mess this one up, but am really pleased with the results.

Wow. That looks amazing. Could fit right in with the full factory lineup. Adding some softer lines and broaden options available. If I didn't already have an 808, I might choose that version.
