Would it be feasible to use a router to cut slots on kydex for sheaths? If so, can the router bit be attached to a drill press for such work?

TIA,

Greg

Hey Greg...

Yupper,, thats the way to go...
An even better probably cheaper route would be to get those cutting bits used for the Roto-Zip....

Depending on how big of slots you want to cut....

Remember though,, the more holes, slots and material you remove,, the weaker the sheath will become...

I've got another makers sheath here right now, which I have redone several of that has about 12 different holes in the sheath... Yikes!!

Keep the holes drilling and slot cutting to a minimum....

But back to bits,, Yes a Router biit will work fine..Play with the speed and see which cuts best without melting the plastic...

Hope this helps..

Thanks, Eric! I should have asked you that question last night, but I didn't think about it until this morning. Hmmm. I ought to borrow my brother's Rotozip.
