As some of you are probably aware, the Roy Rogers Museum in Branson, MO closed its doors for good in December 2009 due to the economy and steady decline of visitors. More here: http://www.royrogers.com/announcement.html
Many of Mr. Rogers' personal belongings will be divided and auctioned off in June and be permanently lost in private collections. More here: http://www.denveroldwest.com/rrguncollection.html#
I've already sent an email to the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum asking if any attempt was made to raise money to fund a new Roy Rogers wing so this special collection could stay together forever.
