Though not able to attend Blade, I was able to acquire a terrific hunter by Kyle Royer. I know many here will recognize it as on of the knives Kyle submitted for his JS stamp, and some may have even handled the knife at Blade. But very few here have ever seen the sheath I had made for the knife compliments of Kenny and Cody Rowe. An incredible winning combination if ever I saw one. With any luck, they will soon be put to good use during an upcoming elk hunt!!!

One thing that I don't think was evident in Caleb's original photos of the knife were the handle and spine treatment. I love the little flair at the back of the nicely figured ironwood. Hopefully, the photo can show a little bit about what's going on with the spine as well. Sorry, I don't know what it is called. :o

I did get to handle this knife and I tell you its Beautiful, and just fits perfect in the hand!!!

Kyle's handles have improved greatly since the first knife of his that I saw.

The knife and sheath both look very good.

Nice one. I handled some of his stuff at the show (cant remember which) but I was impressed.

Congrats Chris!

I handled that knife at Blade and it's a winner ---- that sheath is gorgeous too.

Of course it's wonderful, from all aspects.

That's called a 'crowned spine' if I'm not mistaken. A very nice touch, indeed.

The sheath came out great!

It looks good with the knife. Thanks for showing it with the sheath.

The treatment on the spine of the blade is called a "Crowned Spine".

Thanks again for showing!

Thanks for all the compliments on this setup, and a huge thank you to both Kyle and Rowe's Leather :thumbup::thumbup:. As I say--and it might sound "silly"--I honestly don't think I could be any happier with this setup.

Nice combo Chris! Congrats.

I got to see your knife at Blade and it is quite a nice piece. It was getting a lot of attention from folks as were all of Kyle's JS knives.

The sheath looks great with the knife.
