I am currently unemployed and dropped 300 dollars on RAT knives alone this month. I want to participate real bad but just can't justify it til I get some income rolling again. Any chance there will be a second run of this knife, or is the due date a month or two off yet? at this point its either RP knife or a trip down Hells Canyon in a raft in October...

I'm sorry to say it, but there isn't a firm cutoff for orders right now.

Basically, I have to leave the cutoff fluid so when Shon says he can make the knives, I can tell him exactly which ones to make that day.

This project is a favor to me and the RAT pack and very little if any profit is built into the price for RAT and Rowen, so I'm trying to keep it as low impact for them as possible. If they have to build it into their calender, it makes it so they can't run something else and make money.

The way things look right now, it should most likely be about a month or more before I cut it off and the knives are made, but it could happen next week without warning.

Sorry to be so vauge.

I know it is asking about complete unknowns, but perhaps Shotgunner11 or Tony can provide a bit of a 'vision statement' about what they think the payment situation is going to be like. I think that is the thing pressing a lot of the discussion here. People don't know if a thread will pop up suddently asking for a MO to be sent etc. Will payment requests be made prior to the knives being ordered (better IMO) or after they are produced (risker and does not warrant the price point being asked).

The price is a great price, but folks who signed up for the order are sincere about making sure they keep their commitment holds. Some clarity as above about payment timing expectations would alleviate some concerns.

Also as a Canadian, I would like to provide some additional cash to cover shipping to Canada, something to the effect of an extra $10-15 would be fair given US Postal Service costs I think, but some guidance on that would be useful.

How do I order one? Sorry work has kept me way busy and I might have missed the details.

OK, this is not official, I am just speaking off the record here but I'm thinking that your knife is made and then you pay for it via the RAT cutlery site and then it's shipped to you.

I wouldn't expect there to be a request for funds before the knives are available, I could be wrong.

With that said, I would recommend having the funds available before you request your blade made. We all know how best laid plans change like the wind, moreso when money is involved.

Starting next week I will be in the wilderness for two weeks away from internet and computors and now I am afraid I will miss the payment request! Guess I will have to rely on my good luck.

Payette Rucker.....I will extend my hand to a Rat in need.......

If this will be allowed....

If the knife is made before you are able to find work and cover the cost I will buy your blade for you hold it until you can come up with the money. I know the pains of not having a job and it is a true nightmare! If the powers that be are willing to do this I am willing to help you out.

If not I will figure out another way to get you your knife.
