I have a Robert Parrish hollow handled survival knife , @ 7 " spearpoint blade with saw tooth upper blade edge, the whole knife appears to have a dull grey finish. he sheath is a complicated nylon affair, I reckon leather would look better.
What is the general opinion of these knives ? Are they good to use ?
Also, are they still in production? It is a great looking knife and I would like to know a bit more about it and it's maker.
Thanks ,
Paul.

They are reportedly a well made, tough knife. I don't recall if Mr. Parrish passed away, or became ill, but he hasn't made knives in many years.

The area code is now 828 not 704; I just called and got no answer or answering machine.

If I needed a Robert Parrish knife blade refurbished and he is no longer active or willing to do it, any particular recommendations on who to send it to that would help it retain its value in the same way that having Mr. Parrish do it himself would? Matt
