I did a forum search on the CRKT Ron Lake Signature model, and nothing came up at all. ??? Hasn't anyone bought or even handled one of these knives? If so, what did you think? My brother is interested in one, and I feel like a pretty lame knife-nut if I'm not able to give him some info on it! Thanks - FF

Hello, i got one a few weeks ago, its a well made little knife. the blade is 3 1/8" long, its a nicely grinded clip blade with false edge,& even though there is no thumb studs, it can still be opened pretty easily with one hand. im left handed, there isnt as much room for the thumb on that side, & i still find it easy to open.i like the little leather braided cord on the end of the handle. the blade has a nice satin finish.very sharp grind, sliced paper like a razor. the liner locks in the perfect position, not too far over. its fun to play with the trick clip feature, locking the liner.even though the blade is about 3" , it feels bigger. the aluminum handle feels very solid & comfortable, & the swiss cheesed zytel inserts look nice, too. it would be pretty easy to pull them out & make custom inserts in wood or pearl, too.its a great solid knife for the money. im glade i got it....

thanks Goldie! anyone else? they must have sold more than one of these, but I can't find one at a single shop to check out for myself. Anyone?

It is very nicely made, with very good fit and finish. Neat design with a good bladeshape. Unfortunately, it feels terrible in my hand. I got one for Christmas this last year and it is a neat piece with a neat safety lock via the clip. The handle feels like a brick and is very thick, oversized and squared. I will never carry it. It sits on my dresser to play with once in a while. It is the closest I will ever get to owning a Lake, so it is a neat addition to my collection. If it was all I had to use, I would replace it ASAP.

interesting indeed. I thought it looked pretty thick, in the pictures. I used to have a very similarly-shaped knife, some Japanese thing, with a wood insert. It was a nice thin gentleman's knife, but the Lake looks to be twice as thick! Good info to know, thanks.
