At a german language knife forum someone offer this knife at a favorable price and because I like the unusual Pirela design I am thankful for all opinions and experiences.

Hello Horus,

I cannot comment on the Vector auto, but I recently bought a Kestrel and it is a beauty. Very sharp and very smooth in operation. This was my first Microtech purchase and I think their quality is superb.

This is one of my favorite type of Vector's:

Not a user but a beautiful knife to admire and display. The workmanship is tops and the Brend grind and polish is unrivaled. From what people have said in the past about this knife is that due to it's blade configuration it doesn't lend itself to be a good everday user. Although it does make for a great self defense tool. The handle is very comfortable and the spring as well as the lockup is MT quality...can't get any better.

I have had the opportunity to handle a Vector and found the quality to be superb. I had read in the forums over the last year or so about the superiority of the Microtech line of automatics and was a little bit skeptical. But when I got my hands on the Vector, I was stunned at how good it was put together. Microtech automatics are one of the few things that I have encountered in my life that have actually exceeded my expectations. Oh yes, the knife I handled was for sale for somewhere around $325.00 U.S. That was too much to slip by my one and only and I couldn't come up with a convincing argument right then as to why I desparately needed a plus $300.00 knife, not to mention one that I couldn't carry legally.
