Hello,
I am considering the Scarab, but want to look before I leap. The price seems a little steep, but I have learned that my other Microtechs were worth the money.

Of thoes who have them, what do you think of it?
How does it carry? The opening seems good.
Has anyone broken glass with it?

Any insight is appreciated.

Regards, Doug

I had one. It was a very nice knife. I only got rid of it because I was trade happy. I may get one again when the time is right for me to drop some more money on something other than a William Henry or a balisong. You won't be dissappointed.

very nice knife... very nice surprise since i thought this knife would be a safe queen. i carry it on duty and it opens and closes very positively. haven't had an opportunity to use the glass breaker, but i'm sure it will work fine. i have th eExecutive model and find it rides very well in the pocket. did not like the feel of the skateboard tape on the original Scarabs. the S30V blade is great and i haven't had to even touch up the blade yet. it is quite addictive when u first get it and i find that the new slider actuator much easier to use than on my UT6. bought mine for under retail and i think i got a real good bargain. reatil, the Scarab is expensive, but it is worth every penny i paid for it... even though it was still kinda pricey.

with carry, the front of the chassis is getting a little smooth and shiny, but there is no chipping on the anodizing.

i probably won't ever give this knife up...

Jon
