Does anyone have any experience with the new model? [Or even the older version -- I did a search, but not a whole lot came up, so more opinions are welcome.] Would you recommend it over the Suunto, or something else?

BTW, I just saw it for the first time the other day in a chain watch store; it was $200.00. Couldn't even find it on the Casio website.

Thanks,

Ted

Thanks, but no, that's the older version of the Triple Sensor. The new one looks much sleeker, although it is still pretty huge. It's much more rounded, without the 'sensor' part sticking off to the side like that; looks a lot like the Suunto. And yes, the price has gone down from the earlier Triple Sensor model.

The sales clerk told me that it was "almost as rugged as the G-shock." Wonder what that means.

I have the Suunto and the old Triple. I didn't know that Casio came out with a new, sleeker model. That would be an improvement.
The Triple was pretty good, smaller than the Suunto, but not quite as logical or easy to use. The Suunto controls and logic are much better. Overall, the Suunto is a better watch exceptfor one very big problem: from some angles, the display gives false readings. It's the wierdest thing, but if my wrist isn't turned all the way towards me, a 6 will read as a 5,for example. That's bad.
The light on the Casio is also superior.
