Wish to get a Combat that is well made quality at the same time bigger than my kershaw mojo smaller than BM 630. After long browsing, I narrow it down to these 2 knives. RRF (Rapid response Folder) by Ryan Wilson and BM 4200. Very similar in size of working blade, similar in price.

RRF is a bit better made blade material at the same time $179 for a custom sounds like a steal; BM 4200 has auto AXIS. Owner of 630, i trusted its made quality.

Its hard for me to put them in hand when auto isn't legal at my state, i am sure if i have them in hand then i will know right the way. Wish people talk about their experience, then i will decide based on all comment. thanks.

If Automatics arent legal in your state, it isnt a good idea to get one. Go for an assisted opener or other "legal" quick opening knife instead. Automatic knives will land you in the slammer, unless you never plan on using/carrying it.

I second that.

But an assisted opener is not only option - an axislock knife can be opened as fast as an automatic one. I would just take look at manual Resistor.

IMO - if it should be only a "combat" knife, also something for SD purposes, a 154CM of Resistor is more than enough.

For an EDC also, by the way.

ive has a resistor for a year,i love it.The blade size on the rrf is about 3 1/4" , a little small, the resistor has a slightly bigger blade. The resistor has a massive handle as far as thickness, & the longest axis bar to span the width of the handle.the biggest things stopping me from buying the rrf is that black coating on the blade & price.it seems like the blades are black coated to save the time & trouble to satin finish them. Also, if the regular rrf retails for 199.00, the street price should be around 125-140, not almost retail ...........
