I’m looking at an RSK or a Super Freek.

The RSK is now in MagnaCut, which I’ve been wanting to try since it came out.

I like the aesthetics of the Super Freek more. I am fine with M4, but I wish the blade was DLC instead of Cerakote.

If I were to get the RSK, I’d likely change the scales from G-10 to either aluminum AWT or Original Goat, which would make the price about the same as the Freek.

I care more about performance, reliability, durability, and ergos than looks, but the optics do matter to me. I have no experience with Ritter or Benchade, so I’d appreciate any advice.

I don’t own a Freak but I have a Mini RSK and I can’t say enough good things about it.

The Hogue version of the RSK has several improvements over the original Benchmade model and the price makes it an excellent value. You might find the standard grips to be more than satisfactory. I know I do.

In regards to Cerakote, my opinion is that it is underrated. I find it to be more durable than some claim. I don’t have a problem with Cerakote at all but that’s just my personal experience.

I've had both, and they're honestly so similar that it's a tough call.

I think the RSK is cheaper and comes in a steel that I prefer. However, my personal RSK has blade play due to tolerance issues I cannot resolve, so the particular Super Greek I owned was actually higher quality.

I say buy both. Have the freek and I think it is a better option though. Benchmade nailed it in ergos. Never can go wrong with M4 steel. The RSK I have had 2 in 20cv still very comfortable. Hogue thumb studs are a little bit better. Both have good blade profiles.

The Hogue is a very well made knife with alot of nice little details ,like the way they machined the little knurles in the axis bar, and the g10 scales. I could never warm up to the design of the freek although its a good knife the styling never really did it for me.

Rsk by a mile. It's honestly better than any benchmade I've ever owned. All that was need was to swap a Benchmade clip on it. Absolute keeper. BTW I bought the auto version, and the lockup us solid.

The Super Freek's blade is too thick. Handle is a little chunky too.

Have you held the super freek in hand? I thought I really wanted one for awhile. Was all set to buy it, then held one in store and knew instantly it wasn't for me. Would definitely recommend stopping by a cabelas or knife store and holding one. It was very thick and chunky.

I really love the m4 they use on it though with a slicey blade shape.

Let's keep it on topic folks. It's about the knives. Several off topic posts moved offline.
