Hey all,
I know my Rtak II cost me $105 plus shipping at the turn of the year so I thought this was a pretty solid price, actually the lowest total price I have ever seen on this blade.

I know there was a discussion about the Rtak on here a couple days ago so here is your chance if you want to pull the trigger.

One of the best production knives in my opinion at a great, great price. Nice work RN.

I think this would be construed as deal spotting and could earn you an infraction. You might want to change it.

I was about to say what Doc just said. Loads of us post up links to stuff here all the time, but the way you've done yours is blatant. Get a feel for the pattern of what is / isn't allowed here amigo. At the moment you are wide open. :-)
 
Wait, I still don't get it. What is wide open?

If Bark River ran a special on their best knife for $1 could I not come in here and tell everyone about it?
 
"Wide open" to allegations of being a spammer. There's a fine line between flagging up good resources and so on and advertising a specific deal at a specific location.

I don't totally understand why this is a no no. If someone comes in and spams, they get banned and the thread would have the original post and then 10 more that says "this deal sucks, this company sucks" etc.

It seems to work on other forums. I have gotten some great deals from deal spotting.

Just my 2 cents.

The link someone posted above to the BF rules explains it clearly.

No one wants this place to become a constant spam-dumping ground. The mods here do a very good job of keeping this forum clean and enjoyable without constant interuptions.

Although I know it is against the rules, I appreciate your intent. I found the deal you spotted and only wish I had the funds.
