I'm getting ready to post some Ruana knives for sale. Now....I know a fine Ruana that's crafted just by Vic Hangas would be considered a "custom", and could be posted for sale in that forum, but what about their standard line, the ones made by Vic and his sons? Those are more or less crafted in batches. Would those be considered "production", like Randalls or CRK's? Thanks for the help. :)

If the blades are hand signed R H Ruana with stamped sheath's saying R.H.R. or R.H. RUANA there custom handmade knifes, Rudy's two sons made some customs as well, same sheaths as above but with their names signed on the blades. No hand signed blades and a regular RUANA stamped sheath there production knifes. I believe that's about it, i'm not a expert, i just love RH Ruana handmade knifes.

I would agree that this is a small shop. I am also of the opinion that to be a custom Ruana the knives would have to be made by Rudy. These would be custom Hangas knives.

Yeah...The cast-handle ones I'll post up in the Production forum, since they all were produced by "Hangas & Sons". I do have an old M-stamped Bowie Special made by Rudy himself decades ago. It has copper rivets. Very unique, and note for sale! ("Yet" anyway ;))

Uhh...Make that, NOT for sale...

Interstingly enough, I have a knife I will be putting copper pins/rivets in this week. Course, first I have to go back and anneal it because I forgot to drill the holes before I heat treated it. :)

Copper really does give it a different/interesting look, doesn't it?
