Very nice work Dave. So what is the word on Buck do a run of 334Dave 110 rubber Buckies?

i dont know what will happen there on that ...
i do know it did go to the VP of marketing..
then passed on to his "people" ...
it has to be tested and judged for cost effectiveness
and then judgment passed down from company lawyers ..
i wish i had sent one as nice as this one ...
that first one was not as finished as this one

Cane will be the one testing it on his deployment to the sand box! ..
Tin Sue footed the bill for the 2002 anvil " tang stamped" blade and knife..
and the alpha scales..

i would love to see it made weather or not it is laser etched or stamped..
Jest so long as it dont say "RUBBER BUCKY" on the blade or box!!
like who the heck named it that any way? ;)

yes i can "C" it on the box end now ...
model 110-RB cat #334D
but like i said long as it dont say rubber bucky on it...
C'trax... were you the one to call it a rubber bucky first?
if not who was?
hee hee you should have seen my wife do a double take as i was talking
on the phone with TS and said " i got your rubber bucky right here"...
she left shaking her head and did not hang around long enough
to hear the explanation ..

C'trax... were you the one to call it a rubber bucky first?...

Nope, wasn't me...That thread got so long I never read it all...Don't know who said it first...

Goose maybe...He seems the rubber ducky type...(remember Blazing Saddles???)... ;)

come on guys! i could use your help here!!

i could handle the 110-RB as that can mean any thing like rubber-black..
but so darn close to rubber ducky?
really would you want your contribution to be called a
'rubber bucky'?
"Hay Joe i jest got'a have me one of them there Rubber Buckys."

What's the deal on the rivets??? I would think good'ol glue would hold it on....I cant wait to get my 112..... But it will go in the collecton for 'DISPLAY' only.. YOU MUST MAKE TWO !!

I just received the FG Rubber Bucky from Dave in the mail today. Not having had the privilege of handling/using the original prototype last year, all I can say is "Wow" about this one. This would be an absolutely great user and Buck will make a big mistake, IMHO, is they choose not to go into production with this. The one thing that I might suggest is that they consider also producing it with a cameo colored rubber handle. Cameo seems to be very popular these days, and that would not only update this classic knife a bit, but would also serve to boost sales from all of us that will lay it down in the woods while field dressing a deer and then never be able to find it again, so a replacement would be needed. So maybe, they could also make it in a hunter orange colored option as well. Seriously, this is a great knife; someone should have thought of this long ago. I really hate to place it in the mail to Caine, but it's off for its tour of duty in the sand box. Caine, keep us informed how it holds up to combat conditions. Bring it and yourself home safely!!

Wll Trax, that is what I meant! Wouldn't you just love to have that cameo insert on the 110 handle?? ;) If not possible, I guess I'll settle for the camo, then!!

P.S.: I are an Aggie!! :thumbup::thumbup:
You most likely will have to be a Texican to truly appreciate this.

Actually, yes I would...Maybe slightly different girl, but a cameo would be kewl...:thumbup:

Do any of the Yellowhorse boys do carving??? How about a Mammoth tooth (or tusk) cameo on a 110??? Carved right into the meat...not an inset... ;)

As for the camo scales...yuck... :barf:

(Besides, I think Buck did a Bucklite in camo already...)
