Dave hasn't talked about it since he's rather humble, but I don't think he'll mind.

When I got back off of leave there were 2 110's and an Alpha which Dave had Rubber Bucky'ed up and sent me to pass out to a few lucky service members here. Next time I get out to the more remote sites I'll deliver them to the folks out there who could use a good knife.

We get issued Gerber multi-tools but that is it, no knives issued (Benchmade seat belt cutter doesn't count) unless it's at unit level so I'm sure I can find a few guys out in the suck who will love a hard use Buck.

I'll post pics if possible but no promises there.

Thanks in advance Dave, I'm sure they will be put to good use! I will probably tell the men that they have to give them to the next man when they leave. Most bang for the Buck that way, plus will be a good story for them over time.

...???...Well, that's certainly not 334dave... :D
Besides gutting & filleting goats, what else do Bucks in Afghanistan have in store for them???

:o :o :o :o :o

yep pass them on!
the two 110's were donated
the alpha i sent
will you be home before the end of April?

I'm sure they have lots of "odd jobs" in store for them. Pretty amazing the things a young Soldier will dream up at times:D

Should be back by then, but everything is subject to change.

Ok, couldn't resist, Dave's ok and I was 11B.

Ohen...Dave sent me your addy...got another to send your way.

Hey, what model Gerber they issue?

I don't use it, still in my pack somewhere, but from looking at their page it looks to be a black version of the 600. Just not sure which one and didn't find any markings on the one I checked the other day.

Dave,
Good on you, thanks!

Should be a good piece of gear for the guys in convoys all the time, can snap it into a set place in the vehicle so they know where it is when needed.

[Buck Revolution]
yours is gold / green ?
i liked it for camping and fishing for its clamp on aspect
i ripped off two belt loops though

Hmmmm...Kind of neat...Is it a true carabiner??? Looks like it uses the inherent tension of the steel, rather than a spring action...

I clip my "carabiner knife" to my belt, not to a loop...but I'd rather use my pocket...too many things to get belt stuff caught on...

Edit: Seems to be a "Revolution", "Revolution XT", and a "Short Revolution"...Which one did you send, 334dave???

it is the handle revolving one.
and it does use the torsion of the steel clip to hold close
advantage of handle revolving is that you
have in essence a fixed blade
