rubber handle

i was looking at the battle rat and it really looked like a great knife until i got a closer look at the handle. it seems like it would become really abrasive after extended use. can anyone tell me how comfortable they really are?

I wasn't a big on the idea of a resperine C handle, until I actually obtained and used one. I got a used Battle Rat a few weeks ago, and have used it since for extended chopping sessions on misc. brush and saplings. It is extremely comfortable and very durable. Really destroyed my preconceived notions.

I had the same experience with the Ratchet. Chopping away with no hotspots, no slipping from sweat. Not like the Cold Steel kraton handles at all.

i see, i thought the handle would feel like a car tire or like my trailmasters handle but i guess not.

The Resiprene handles are way better than the Cold Steel ones! I have a Howling Rat and an SRK, and the Rat is far nicer to hold, and it doesnt abrade my hand like the SRK does.

Yes they are! I just got my Camp Tramp and Bandicoot yesterday, so i don't have any experience chopping(yet), but compared to my SRK there is a night and day difference. If you are looking at a Battle Rat, GO FOR IT! You will NOT be dissapointed.
