rubber material for a contact wheel?

I have this contact wheel that i want to add a rubber face to...Any ideas?

It has bearings installed, just dont want to use it yet...hard steel face will just be a pain in so many ways...

mike, i'll send you an email when i get directions typed up or i'll call you. was the belt i sent you back in 07 long enough to use on that wheel? maybe you could do a wip if you like my idea. it works for me just fine.

Call contact rubber, they might be able to put a tread on it.

Hey Richard! Actually i used that neoprene, but it only lasted a few grinds than started to get beat up pretty bad. I removed it and refaced the wheel. Not sure what happened, might have been the heat or maybe even the pressure. Yeah shoot me an email at mdtattoos@gmail.com or mike@sacrificialskin.com. find a gravel pit and get some conveyor belt. that stuff is tough. i put some on mine then put what i sent you on top. still going strong.
