I went to the supply store this afternoon and they just sold......

Just kidding! I AM JUST KIDDING!

I have gone thru my last, what do you call it, rubberized abrasive dremel-type thing-a-ma-bob. I use them for jewelling. If anyone knows of a supplier or a place where I can get them, please let me know.

Sorry for the dry humor......

I think that you are thinking about Cratex abrasives, rubber based with aluminum oxide grit in it, stinks to high heaven when you are working with it.

I have found a new abrasive setup, narrow wheels made of high density foam containing aluminum oxide or silicone carbide mixed with diamond dust. These wheels can be shaped to get into corners like the square shoulders at the ricasso and cut very well.
A customer of mine is trying to get rid of a couple of hundred of them in several sizes and hardnesses. One of the uses was polishing stainless tubing for Harley exhaust pipes.

if you get realy despirate you can take a pencil with an eraser on it and glue 220 grit to the eraser and chuck it up in a drill press and do it the old fasioned way be sure to put the press on the slowest speed though (Experience) just trust me
