I have been using Rubbermaid products for some time for the storage of my bugout/camping gear. I have 4 of the 1191-01-38 containers.
They hold quite a bit. They are very stackable. They can be locked to keep the honest people out.

However, I just got turned on to the model# 1170-04-38. I bought a couple yesterday, and plan to buy a couple more. These may not hold as much, but I didn't expect them to. They are very portable. I use them to hold miscellaneous small items. I once used small cardboard boxes from work to do so. I have seen the light.

I keep most of my camping gear packed this way so I just have to load up some of the tubs and I'm off. They work pretty well in roof racks too if not too heavy.
