I just stumbled upon the Rubicon 2 today and I'm pretty intrigued. I really love the looks and the size and weight seems to be ideal. I have a ZT 0562cf on the way but I'm thinking about flipping it as soon as I get it to get the Rubicon. Thoughts?

Really the only thing I like more about the ZT is the steel but I've used S30v before and have no complaints. Has anyone handled or seen one in person yet?

The rubicon will be a smaller knife than the 0562 if that matters to you.
I think I actually prefer the 3 inch blade to the 3.5. I currently use a dragonfly in zdp 189 and that does almost everything I need it to.

How is Spyderco's S30V? The only knife I had it in was a ZT 350, while I liked the knife it was a pain to sharpen but I figured that was attributed more to the recurve that the steel.

The recurve on the Rubicon seems much less pronounced than the 350. It's almost like what would happen if the 350 and Dragonfly had a baby.

I'm not positive but I'd wager Spyderco runs their s30v a touch harder than ZT. I love Spyderco's s30v and really any steel they use. I am confident they are not going to use a "bad" steel in any of their products
