I did a video last night to show the Ruby stones that have been being asked about. I show them in the sharpmaker, and explain how I think they work best. Hope it helps.

If anyone wants to see a video of how they cut I would be more than happy to do so as well.

Yeah you should make a vid of you reprofiling a blade from start to finish. I'd watch it. just ordered 2 80's 2 150's and 2 320's. now i'm thinking i went overboard but i do get impatient quickly.

I havn't tried oil on them just water. I checked and the videos I did last week on a full reprofile with these, through the standard stones I have. I will upload both parts tonight.

So has a general consensus come about over which congress stone fairs best overall? Read the threads and it bounces between the moldmaster, the ruby, and the res-cut?

Thanks for the video......if you find the time id like to see the ruby in action reprofiling. Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the delay. I will be uploading the video of them cutting tonight. I am sure you guys wont be dissapointed. I am pretty sure all the other stones cost way more than the Ruby.

Ok video is uploading now, again sorry for the delay. Just so you all know. This is a video I originally scrapped. But with the requests and me not having another knife I want to fully reprofile. I am uploading this. I show the progress but didn't show the edge at the end, because I thought my I was about to get interrupted. Anyway.

There you all go :). Not a video I am particularly happy with, but if you give me some time I will make a better one.

Your video prompted me to 30 inclusive with a 40 micro my BK11 my Sklyline will be next. I'm using the diamond stones how does the grit compare to them. I'm gonna pick up some of the congress stones for sure. I didn't even know there was an alternative to the Spyderco stones. Thanks for taking the time to make the videos and post this.
