Rucki carry recommendations?

Hey All, I'm planning on either chasing a Rucki down (my very first Swamp Rat) on the forums or ordering one directly in the next week, and I was looking for some advice on sheath/carry options.

This will my first "big" knife, or short sword I suppose, so I have no experience whatsoever. I am going to taking it to the woods with me for all sorts of chopping and cutting (I know a machete would be better but I want a Rucki:D)

I feel it would be uncomfortable to carry on my belt because of the length, so I was wondering what you guys use? Some sort of method where it is slung from the shoulder or attached to the back? I really have no idea what would be comfortable while hiking.

I've looked at Chuddy Bear's stuff and some of the Kydex benders on here, and I just can't narrow it down at all, either in terms of materials or carry options. Any recommendations are very much appreciated, and pics are definitely welcome as well!

Good luck with your search. I have lashed mine to the side of one of my packs. Sorry no pics but I am sure that you will get plenty of suggestions.

Here is a couple of my kydex riggs. The Waki to be worn on ruck and the Rucki/RMD in a Baldric rig. If you are packing in on a trip, attached to your ruck is cool. I like the Baldric rig myself cause you can swing it out of your way, hang it in a tree or at the camp site. or carry it. I find the flexibility to be beneficial. Hope this helps a little.

Thanks hindsight, I was thinking that may be a good option for me. Do you carry yours with leather or Kydex?

RussMo, I really appreciate the pics. Looks like a great setup you have there. I think Kydex is the way I am going to go on this one, likely with a similar carry method. Thanks!

You might want to search for a thread David Brown posted a few months ago about rigging a kydex sheath for Rucki with paracord for multiple carry options.
Not sure if it was here or in Busse subforum, but it would give you a few options you might like.

I was going to post my Rucki carry pix on David's thread, but since it is over a year old I decided against "thread necromancy":D
