In bringing up the links on the "kali puja search results" thread I reread those old topics. I guess I should have posted these comments over on that thread, but I picked up a copy of Kipling's first "Jungle Book" for my son the other day, and have a copy of Robert Service's collected works I dug out this morning. The Himalayan Imports Forum isn't quite as prettied up as Kipling or Service, but it's got the ADVENTURE/ROMANCE down, and better yet, it's really really true! It's like finishing off Mark Twain's "Tom Sawyer" and being sad it's over til you find out there's Huckleberry Finn to read next.

( For LOL I just noticed my Indiana Jones hat is sitting on the monitor as I type this. The "Raiders of the Lost Ark" movie, H. Rider Haggard and "King Solomon's Mines", Edgar Rice Burroughs and the Barsoom books... Heinlein? )

Edit: if I don't add all the cowboy and indian stories, Yvsa will, so I'll beat him to it. Conceding that we just might be rooting for different sides (wink). Imagine that!

I think they all fit together quite nicely. What do you guys think?
