Hey Guys,
I have aquired a new (new to me) Ruger 10/22 but it doesn't have the front sight. It fits into a lil 'dovetail' groove and has apparently fallen out. Can anyone recommend where I can get a replacement?

Do a search for Skinner sights. Dr. Skinner can probably make you a new front post for a very reasonable price. He normally does Marlins but a Ruger blade shouldn't be a problem for him. We are talking about doing some custom sights for my Ruger.

See also rimfirecentral.com for everything you need to know about the 10/22.

That's a fun little gun. Enjoy it. I finally broke down and put a scope on mine....a 4x Nikon Buckmaster. Either way, it's a damn fine gun.

I would give Ruger a call. I had one do the same thing and they sent me a replacement at no charge !

Worth a try !

I would try Ruger as well first. The last Ruger part that needed replacing on my dad's gun (over 20 years old) they just sent us for free.

you dont need a front sight if you make your ruger look like this. haha,
browells should have a frot sight for you

That it is! I've had several over the years and outfitted them with scopes.
Nothing like a Maxp mini roly-poly full of .22 rounds and nothing but the whole day to snipe rodents!

Ruger will probably send you that part for free. They had sent me something (can't recall what) that broke and it was at my door within days.
