Not usually overly fond of these 'branded' knives but this looks good.

Small wonder though - Ken Onion knows knives and has IMO designed some very nice ones.

The steel might not be a forum favorite.

Still, knife looks good IMO.

"Ken Onion designed the Muzzle-Brake fixed blade using elements from a traditional bowie knife, and infused it with the construction techniques of today. Its stout full-tang blade is made from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel with a durable black powder coat. The GFN handle features a texture that matches the Ruger American Rifle stock texture for a sure grip surface, and has Ruger eagles embossed on both sides. Includes an injection molded nylon sheath and Tek-Lok attachment for secure carry.

Ruger Knives chose to work with CRKT to produce a full-line of hunting, tactical, and everyday carry knives. Their knives feature the designs of five of the industries top knife makers."

This one not too shabby either:

I’m the same. Branded knives generally aren’t my thing. The Powder Keg looks great.

I picked up a Ruger CRKT Follow-Through Compact (Matthew Lerch design) recently and it is surprisingly a really good knife. 8Cr13MoV as well which I don’t mind in a cheaper blade and it is a very well made and ergonomic (for me) knife. I paid about $35 for it on sale and carry it a lot.

CRKT makes some pretty good budget knives IMO. Much better than the similar priced Chinese Kershaws and Gerbers I made the mistake of buying a while back.

I've been curious about the Ruger Accurate DP or RP for a general utility knife. I might pick one up if I find it new for under$40... undecided.

7" blade of 8Cr? Why not a carbon or tool steel? Bad design on that. Like the looks of the knife, but you shouldn't do big stainless fixed blades.

Actually, blade length is 7.5", meaning the handle is 4.5" . The handle looks short in relation to the blade. Typical CRKT for me. Good designs, sub par steel. I wish CRKT would take a lesson from Spyderco and Benchmade and up the blade steel to VG10 (like a Delica) or 154CM (Grip/Mini Grip) and try to hit the $70-100 market. I'd love a M16 or M21 with VG10 and G10 handles.

If CRKT made the otonashi noh ken (sp?) In a titanium framelock with 154cm or similar steel, id pay a pretty penny for that.

I tend to agree. If you are going to coat it why not something like sk5? That said, I love my aus8 inexpensive sogs. Also the higher end Spartans in s35vn. Just got a bm arvensis in 154cm that looks promising. I guess it depends what you intend to do with it also.

This blade looks good. Much prefer no coating given the stainless. Price will be a factor. That's a lot of branding going on. Adds to the cost. Crkt quality is often low for what you pay.

I thought the big Ruger CRKT folder was kinda cool. Especially with the veff serrations. (Which look like they would be easier to sharpen, i usually don’t like serrations)

This is the big one (with it’s little bro) seemed solid in hand when I checked it out at my local knife store.

A Ruger Hoback?

The OP posted knives look good but my big issue sight unseen is the sheath material. Glass filled nylon....in my experience totally inappropriate for a sheath. If the edge touches the sheath while drawing or putting away glass filled nylon dulls the edge something terrible.

On my Spyderco Street Beat liteweight the sheath is testament to this. It turns the amazing knife i want to love into downright unusable.
