This story over at The Box O' Truth really caught my eye as an example of a company going WAY beyond what anyone should reasonably expect from any manufacturer, firearms or otherwise.

The short version is that the site's host bought a Blackhawk chambered in .30 carbine at a gunshow and upon firing it discovered that the sights were "off" by quite a bit. He sent it to Ruger and they replaced the sights and grips at no charge, and may have spit-shined it a bit to make it look factory fresh.
This anecdotal account of one man's experience with Ruger's customer service made me wonder if others have had similar experiences with Ruger or other gun manufacturers.
