Just got this little fella a few weeks back and it goes everywhere I do. The only problem I have is that the sights(fixed) don't show up to well for my aging eyes. Any suggestions on what I can do to make them more visible?

i got a white paint pen from an office depot and painted both the front and rear sights.

Hey Abey...I was having the same problem with mine. My eyesight isn't what it used to be. I already installed the laserguard from CT and that seems to help, but I still wanted to be able to "see" the sights. Went to a local hobby shop and bought some Testors model paint. I chose a Chromium Yellow for the front ramp and outlined the rear "notch" in Classic Bright White. Really like it, and with the little bottles I'll still have enough to re-coat many times when it wears off. Just make sure to wipe off the parts with some rubbing alcohol to "degrease" before you paint. And, a little tape helps to keep things neat. I used a Qtip as an applicator. Good luck!! Let us know what you decide to do.

innovativearms will add a front tritium sight and plain rear sight to the LCP and P3AT. They have a nice big sight picture. I have a set on my P3AT and I can actually hit things with it.

Sorry about not responding sooner but I've had family in this weekend and didn't have a chance to get online. Thanks for all the suggestions and excellent links. For now, I think I'm going to try the paint idea and see how durable that is. I like the laser grips but need something more economical.:D

ive had the paint on my sights for about 2 years. i only applied one coat, and i carry the gun every day.

it has held up very well.

Same here with the glow-in-the-dark Nitesiter dots. I only put a dot on the front sight of my LCP.

I have a Keltec and I am not particularly fond of laser sights, but a pocket pistol is one place they are worth it.

I put them on my Keltec and my S&W airweight.

Crimson trace can be had for a good price on eBay.

I walk my dog at night and I think this is a good solution for low light, but the laser can be seen in the day also.

i have an older keltec P32 which has virtually no front or rear sight at all, i added a red shotgun bead on the front and it works really well, my 'smith was worried it was gonna break off but its been on for gosh 8-10 yrs now with no probs,

the newer keltecs and the rugers have a bit more site to them now vs the old ones, so i dont know if the bead would be a good option or not.

imho i dont care for laser sites on something that small, you start adding weight and bulk & before long ya have something thats as big and weighs as much as a kahr PM9, at which point ya might as well just get a kahr PM9 and be done with it. now laser sites on a "J" i can almost understand, with the laser built into the grip they add little if any bulk and weight, but all the ones i have seen for the ruger and keltec pocket pistols do add some weight and bulk to the package, and the thing being small and lite is what it has going for it to begin with,

I do understand what you are saying about the added weight of adding laser grips to the LCP, but because the gun is so light to begin with, I don't find it a problem. The laser grips are also so well integrated into the LCP that they don't really add anything to it's bulk or print.

With them, and the addition of a nitesighter glow in the dark dot on the front sight, I feel that they work exceptionally well.

I might also add that any handgun equipped with a laser grip offers dry fire practice, and an ability to build your mental sight picture during the off season when you may not be able to shoot live rounds.

I spend a lot of time sitting in my living room just pulling my (empty) LCP up on a target across the room (a picture on the wall, a vase, the cat ;)), taking aim without pushing the laser on, and after pointing on target I THEN push the laser button to see how my point of aim is.

It's the equivalent to aiming, pulling the trigger to fire a round, and then walking to your target to see how well you hit... but it is all done while sitting in your lazy-boy (take aim, push the laser button, see how well you hit what you had aimed at). I put lasergrips on almost every handgun I own and practice this drill with all of them regularly.

Doing this repeatedly, is a GREAT way to build a "mental sight picture".

I can't recommend this practice enough!

I have a Crimson Trace laser for my KelTec P3AT. It's well-designed, it works very well, and the added weight/bulk is insignificant. It just makes it print more wallet shaped, and less gun shaped.
